January Insights from Connect 2 Cleanrooms & Cleanroomshop
Welcome to the first Connect 2 Cleanrooms and Cleanroomshop newsletter of 2026.
This month, we’re sharing a round-up of the latest updates, projects, and practical insights, including strategic changes in how we deliver cleanroom solutions, training activity, and technical guidance.
Here’s what’s been happening this January 👇
Strategic shift of our core focus
After more than 20 years of supporting businesses with bespoke cleanroom design-and-build projects, we’re announcing a strategic shift towards predesigned cleanroom solutions.
With a growing demand across the industry for ready-to-ship and cost-effective controlled environments, this realignment allows us to concentrate on the areas where we can deliver the greatest service, expertise, and innovations to our customers.
Particles Plus® and particle counters
Particle counters remain the only reliable method of accurately measuring air cleanliness within a controlled environment. Used both for day-to-day monitoring and during cleanroom validation, they play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive applications, identifying contamination events, and evidencing compliance with cleanroom standards.
Our latest video explores how particle counter testing is used during cleanroom validation, with our experts demonstrating best practice and explaining what the results really tell you about your environment. You can also explore our range of Particles Plus® particle counters, available for immediate dispatch and next-day delivery via Cleanroomshop.
CipherX case study
We’ve completed a 12m² ISO class 7 predesigned softwall cleanroom for CipherX, supporting the production of their next-generation microneedle technologies for lifestyle, cosmetics, and future medical applications.
As CipherX progressed from early prototyping toward commercial readiness, the company identified the need for a controlled cleanroom environment to support the fabrication and assembly of its microneedle products.
ISO cleanroom training
Our training team recently delivered an interactive ISO cleanroom training session for 15 people in the technology and aerospace industry where precision, cleanliness, and process discipline are essential.
The session combined theory, tutorials, and practical workshops, covering key aspects of cleanroom management including gowning, hand hygiene, rotational cleaning, and the latest guidance under ISO 14644. For teams working in aerospace and other high-precision sectors, understanding and consistently applying cleanroom protocols is critical to protecting sensitive components and maintaining compliance.
Whether your team is new to cleanrooms or needs a structured refresher, our CPD-certified training courses are designed to build confidence, improve consistency, and support compliance across ISO and GMP environments.
Controlling contamination through an effective monitoring programme
Contamination within a cleanroom typically arises from viable or non-viable particles introduced through personnel, consumables, equipment, or weaknesses in procedures. Whether the priority is managing micro-organisms for safety, or reducing physical contamination to protect yield and product quality, a robust environmental monitoring programme is essential.
Our latest white paper explores how to control contamination through an effective monitoring programme, including the most reliable methods for measuring air cleanliness and best practice for managing monitoring data to reduce risk and maintain compliance.
