This month, we have some exciting updates for you including some new articles on choosing the right cleanroom furniture and operator PPE, our environmental incentives through Cleanroomshop, 6 reasons you need a laminar flow cabinet, and a spotlight on our supplier, Ansell, an industry leader in developing safety solutions for critical sectors.
Take a look below at our August insights 👇
Key considerations when furnishing your cleanroom
Furniture plays a crucial role when planning a new cleanroom or upgrading an existing facility, influencing areas including airflow, operator efficiency, cleaning regimes, and routine maintenance and validation.
Careful considerations need to be made throughout the entire design and build phase to ensure the furnished cleanroom is fit for purpose.
In our latest blog, we explore the key considerations when furnishing a cleanroom, and how a well-furnished facility can support your contamination control strategy.
Supporting the environment through our core services
We’re committed to environmental sustainability across our entire operations; from collaborating with our consumables suppliers to integrating environmental responsibilities throughout the business.
Through Cleanroomshop, we also partner with JUST ONE Tree, a non-profit organisation to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere, and our clients have a direct impact on improving the environment. For every service level agreement and particle counter calibration, we plant trees around the world to support global reforestation, and so far this year we’ve planted 184 trees, totalling 440 and offsetting over 5 tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere each year!
Supplier spotlight: Ansell
Ansell are industry leaders in developing safety solutions for critical sectors including life sciences, healthcare, automotive, micro-electronics, and more.
Supporting businesses in more than 100 countries, and protecting over 10 million workers worldwide, Ansell is committed to creating a safer future through their extensive range of PPE, available on Cleanroomshop.
Clean environments for localised applications
Our laminar flow cabinets create an even, laminar airflow that removes particles from an enclosed space, achieving ISO class 5 operating conditions for those handling samples, materials, or products that are sensitive to contamination.
But if that’s not convincing enough, here’s 6 reasons you need a laminar flow cabinet:
- Delivers smooth, consistent airflow ensuring a continuous clean environment, minimising the risk of contamination.
- Intuitive controls, clear visual indicators, and improved illumination, creating efficient and comfortable working conditions.
- A cheaper, cost-effective solution to producing a highly efficient controlled environment.
- With quality materials and efficient design, our laminar flow cabinets ensure long-lasting performance.
- HEPA filters capture and remove airborne particles, consistently maintaining a contamination-free zone.
- Whether you’re conducting research or preparing pharmaceuticals, our versatile design meets a wide range of applications.
How to choose the right cleanroom garment size
Choosing the right cleanroom PPE can be a challenge. With so many options available, it’s important to select PPE that not only provides the right level of protection for both wearer and process but also ensures a correct and comfortable fit.
Our Learning & Development Lead, Laura Clarke, explores the importance of choosing the right cleanroom garment sizes and key considerations when selecting PPE items.
